Introducing our new Youth Minister – Rach Anderson
We are very excited that Rach started work on September 1st 2010 for our parish of Barnsbury.
“Married to Mike, we're both originally from Guildford. Moved to London in 2002 for a gap year in schools work and we've been in London ever since.
Graduated from Oakhill Theological College in 2009 after studying youth and children’s ministry.
I'm very excited to be coming here to work in Islington! I enjoy anything to do with music, and I really appreciate a good cup of coffee.”
Vision: a thriving, sustainable youth ministry that spans Barnsbury Parish, that is owned by the three churches, that encourages young Christians to grow in their faith & ministry and that evangelises & engages with young people in the local community.
THE GAP is a club to support those who are either side of the gap between primary and secondary school. It meets every Monday during term time at St Andrew's church and it’s for anyone aged 11-14 years old.
The aim will be to look at what Christianity is all about. We’ll use music, films and other media to see what other people say about it. We’ll use the bible to see what it says. And we’ll be asking each other what we think about Christianity and what that means to us.

Starlets is the group that runs alongside Starchasers on Sunday mornings. We have fun, discuss the bible in an enaging and relavent way and support one another through conversation and prayer.
We meet on the second, fourth and fifth Sundays of each month in St. Andrew’s School and each session runs from 10.45am to 12.15pm.

1up is a youth club for 14-18's. We meet every Thursday during term time in The Tower Room at St Andrew's church 7:30-9pm. There are snacks, a wii and plenty of great discussions to be had about what it means to have life with Jesus and to share our lives with each other.
